The Main House

This extremely well appointed house, which has been modernised to a very high standard, still retains many period features of an old Charentaise farmhouse. These features include stone walls, beamed ceilings, large wood burning hearths and an open oak staircase.


The house consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 en-suite shower rooms and one bathroom downstairs. The Gite can sleep 9 people comfortably. There are also highchairs and cots available and all towels(beach/pool and bedroom) and bedlinen is supplied.

Living and Kitchen Areas

A large kitchen area is excellently equipped with all "mod-cons" including gas cooker, dish-washer, fridge-freezer, microwave oven, toaster and coffee maker. There is also ample storage and cupboard space. Just off the kitchen is a bathroom and utility room with washing machine. The kitchen also allows access to the patio and garden area as well as the swimming pool.

There is a spacious open lounge area with separate dining room both of which have "French Windows" opening out on to a dining terrace set in a private garden area which provides ample car parking with gas barbecue and mature cherry tree. Both areas are extremely well lit with natural sunlight while still remaining cool with the natural tiled floors.

The lounge area is also equipped with both U.K and French T.V along with a DVD player, Hi-Fi system and a large selection of books and games. The lounge area has fine examples of the sensitive way the building has been restored by way of exposed beams and stonework and the open staircase to the upper floor. The raised open fireplace and hearth is a welcome sight on a cooler evening!
